بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمین، وَالصَّلاۃُ وَالسَّلامُ عَلَی النَّبِیِّ الْکَریمِ وَعَلٰی آلِہِ وَاَصْحَابِہِ اَجْمَعِین
حدیث کی تعریف:
اُس کلام کو حدیث کہا جاتا ہے جس میں نبی اکرم ﷺکے قول یا عمل یا کسی صحابی کے عمل پر آپ ﷺکے سکوت، یا آپ ﷺکی صفات میں سے کسی صفت کا ذکر کیاگیا ہو۔ حدیث کے دو اہم جزء ہوتے ہیں۔
(۱) سند : جن واسطوں سے نبی اکرم ﷺ کا قول یا عمل یا تقریر یا آپ ﷺکی کوئی صفت امت تک پہونچی ہو۔
(۲) متن : وہ کلام جس میں نبی اکرم ﷺ کے قول یا عمل یا تقریر یا آپ ﷺکی کوئی صفت ذکر کی گئی ہو۔
مثال کے طور پر:
عن فلان عن فلان عن عمر بن الخطابؓ عن رسول اللہ قال: انما الاعمال بالنیات۔۔۔۔۔
فلاں شخص نے فلاں شخص سے اور انہوں نے حضرت عمرؓ سے روایت کیا ہے کہ نبی اکرمﷺ نے فرمایااس کو سند حدیث کہتے ہیں اور اعمال کا دارومدار نیت پر ہےیہ متن حدیث ہے۔
It is narrated by Ibne Abbas who said: The Holy Prophet stated: "There are two blessings of God which people do not appreciate properly and for lack of their appreciation, they suffer a tremendous loss; these are good health and leisure. (Bukhari)
It is narrated by Mustaurid Bin Shaddad who said: I heard the Prophet of Allah who said: "By Allah this world when compared with the Hereafter, is so little that any one who puts his finger into an ocean and see what that finger brings with it (i.e., how much water moistened the finger)." (Muslim)
It is narrated by Jabir that the Prophet of Allah passed by a dead kid whose ears were cut broken. He said: "Who would like to have it for one dirham? (small coin)." The companions replied: "We would not own it for aught/ The Holy Prophet said: "By Allah, this world is more contemptuous in the eyes ot God than this kid is in yours." (Muslim)
It is narated by Abu Horairah that the Holy Prophet said: "This world is a prison for a true believer and a paradise for the infidel or the disbeliever." (Muslim)
It is narrated by Abu Horairah (R.A) that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: "The hell-fire has been covered with lust and carnal desires and the paradise has been overlapped with disagreeable things and calamities." Whoso overcomes the calamities enters the paradise.(Agreed)
It is narrated by Abu Horairah (R.A) that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: "Wretched and unfortunate is he who is a slave of dinar and dirham (i.e., wealth) and who is a slave of costly sheet. Whenever he is given (worldly things), he is satisfied; and whenever he is not given, he is displeased. Such a person is indeed miserable and woebegotten. If he gets a pinch of thorn it should not be permitted. If he recommends some one, his recommendation is turn down. (Bukhari)
It is narrated by Amr-Bin-Auf who stated mat the Holy Prophet said: "By God, I am not afraid of poverty and deprivation for you. What I really fear is that opulance and worldly wealth be your lot as it was of your predecessor's nations. Then you will fall in love with the worldly life like them. Thereafter, the love of worldly life may annihilate you as it annihilated the older nations." (Agreed)
It is narrated by Abu Horairah that the Holy Prophet said: "O Allali: Give to the progeny of Muhammad such sustenance as may keep their bodies and souls together". In another version of the Hadith, it is said: "Grant sufficient sustenance to the progeny and fellows of Muhammad to keep them alive." (Agreed)
It is narrated by Abdullah, son of Amr 'that the Holy Prophet said: "Whoso accepted Islam, he achieved salvation and has been given sustenance sufficiehf for his needs and God has granted him contentment (on tiis possessions)." (Mulsim)
Rasoolullah (Sallallaahu-alayhi-wasallam) is reported as saying: "Dua is in actual fact ibaadah or supplication." As proof he cited the following verse of the Holy Quran:
"And your Lord says: Call unto Me; I shall answer your Dua. Surely, those who are arrogent to worship Me, will surely enter Hell__in humiliation."
Rasoolullah (Sallallaahu-alayhi-wasallam) also said: "Anyone amongest you whose doors of Dua have opened, in reality the doors of blessings have opened for him. The best of all Duas according to Allah is the asking of safety (against all calamities in both the worlds)". According to another riwayah the words the doors of Jannah have opened for him have appeared. And according to another , the words the doors of acceptance have appeared instead of the doors of Jannah.

The extent of the shadow when the Apostle of Allah prayed (the noon prayer) was three to five feet in summer and five to seven feet in winter.
